Job Description
JD for a Desktop and Azure Support Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
- Ensure endpoint security and manage antivirus solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support enterprise applications and resolve escalated issues.
Azure Support:
- Monitor and maintain Azure cloud resources and services.
- Assist in deploying and managing virtual machines, networks, and storage within Azure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Azure-based applications and services.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions on Azure.
- Automate repetitive tasks using Azure tools like PowerShell, CLI, and Logic Apps.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills and Experience:
- Desktop Support:
- Experience with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of desktop and mobile device management solutions.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems .
- Azure Support:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, Azure AD, Storage Accounts).
- Other Skills:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
